“Extending the Sea ”

Public discussion x Performance x Exhibition
“WATAGATA ( Wattagatta ) ” means “Going back and forth” in Korean. “WATAGATA Arts Network [WAN]” is an art project which urge artists to visit each other between the two cities; Fukuoka, Japan and Busan, South Korea. Since December 2010, WAN has organized several art-tour programs in each city including “WATAGATA Arts Festival [WAF]” every autumn. This year, WAN is going to try to spread WATAGATA concept to Asia extensively. You will experience public discussions, performance and exhibitions at WAF2013. WAN will challenge to go further more, a new project “ART PASSPORT” in 2014, the year of Busan Biennale and the Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale 2014.
